1.1 Account and Profile Information

In order to use this forum, such as for searching and viewing member profiles, forums, topics and posts, you need to create an account.  To create an account, we need you to supply us with some personal data so that we can provide our services to you. This includes a display name (for example, “John Doe”) and a username (for example, john_Newcastle), a password, and an email address. After the registration your account display name and username are the same.

Once you have registered and created an account, the following information will be visible to all embark2 members:

  • Member’s name
  • Avatar
  • Biography (About Me)
  • Location (Country)

Additionally, whilst using the embark2 forum the following information may be collected  (this will not be public):

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Geographical location

  • Operating system
  • Referral source

You are responsible for your topics, posts and other information you provide through our services, and you should think carefully about what you post, especially as it is likely to be sensitive information.

One of the benefits of our embark2 website is that you can use private messaging within the forum but personal email addresses will not be displayed. 1.4.1 Authentication – we use cookies to identify you when you visit our website. we store your name and email address in cookies. We use this information to detect current content eg topics, posts. The name is used to display as topic/post author name. Also we store your name and email in cookies to keep filled these fields when you post a new reply or create a new topic (you don’t have to fill this information in every time you post a content).
